Description

The Nags Head is a public house dating from the mid-18th century. It features colourwashed brick with a flint wall on the north gable and has a pantiled roof. The building consists of two continuous ranges that are two storeys high. There are doors at each end, with four 19th-century casement windows under segmental arches on the ground floor and five similar windows on the first floor. The southern range has a bell-based gabled roof with a ridge stack positioned to the left of centre, while the north range has a gabled roof with end stacks and a north parapet supported by kneelers. The gable wall displays brick tumbling, and there is a well-crafted eaves cornice with septaglyphs.
