Description

Madingley is a house built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a black pantile roof. The building stands two storeys high and has three bays, which contain 20th-century plastic double-glazed windows that mimic traditional glazing bars. These windows are set in their original openings and are topped with skewback arches. The central entrance boasts a panelled, partly glazed front door, which is adorned with a semicircular Y-traceried fanlight. This fanlight is framed by an open pediment supported by a pair of pilasters and sections of a frieze that includes single triglyphs. The house also features a moulded cornice and a hipped roof.
