Description

Hill House, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, is a red brick building with a hipped roof covered in modern tiles. It has two storeys and attics, featuring a pediment with a round window and rusticated pilasters. The first floor has five flush frame sash windows with glazing bars, flat arches, and keystones. The entrance includes a doorcase with a pulvinate frieze and a pediment. There is a two-storey bay on the south side, and the chimneys suggest a 17th-century origin. The building is located on Theatre Street, formerly known as Market Place.
