Description

This cottage, located 110 yards north-east of Hassocks, dates back to around 1700. It is constructed from rendered clay lump with a thatched roof and has a T-shaped plan. The building is one storey with an attic and features a brick plinth. The south facade includes a 20th-century porch on the left, three casement windows, and three gabled dormers with bargeboards and plain tiles, each containing casements. The roof is gabled with an axial stack positioned left of centre. On the left side, there is a single-storey gabled extension covered with corrugated tiles. The north side and cross wing have similar casements and a 20th-century door, along with a dormer on the west face of the cross wing.
