Description

Rose Cottage is a house dating from the 16th century, originally built with a timber frame and later encased in red brick during the 17th or 18th century. It features an old tile roof and is one storey high with an attic. On the west side, there is a plastered gabled cross wing that includes a modern ground floor lean-to porch and heavy exposed internal framing. The cottage has one gabled casement dormer and the west wall is made of 17th-century brick, while the rear lean-to is timber framed and includes a casement window.
