Description

This is an 1866 house, originally the Vicarage, designed by J L Pearson. It is constructed of red brick with decorative burnt headers and stone dressings. The house is two storeys high and has a plain tile roof with ornamental ridge tiles. A chimney stack features diagonal shafts. The windows are mullioned and transomed, and there are small half-timbered gables. The front elevation includes a projecting porch bay with a steeply-hipped roof and a moulded stone Gothic archway to the front door. A leaded stair window is located on the left-hand side. The garden elevation has gabled projections with a five-light window. Attached to the east side by a wall is a single-storey, attic garage with a half-hipped roof and a hipped dormer.
