Description

The garden wall on the south and east sides of Ayot Place is an early 17th century structure made of red brick. It stands approximately one and a half metres high and consists of two main sections that enclose the garden. The south side features two straight sections that end in short sections at right angles, which are adorned with large cut brick volutes and square corner piers topped with ovolo cornices and stone ball finials. The eastern section of the wall extends across the north side of the garden.
