Description
The gates and walls at the south entrance of Essendon Place were constructed in the early 20th century, while the side walls and railings likely date back to the late 18th century. The structure features rubbed brick piers topped with moulded and carved cornices, adorned with ball finials and scrolls on the sides. There are both double and single wrought iron gates, separated by narrow panels, each with a scrolled overthrow. The curved walls on either side have stone cornices and wrought iron screens that include scrolled panels.
