Description

This is an early 19th-century row of cottages at 9-17 Welclose Street. The cottages form a group of nine, each with two storeys and a single window. The majority are built of red brick with decorative blue headers arranged in a pattern; however, numbers 13 to 17 are of plain red brick. They have low-pitched slate roofs. The doorways and sash windows, which retain their original glazing bars, are set within flush box frames and have arched brick surrounds.
