Description
Bank House, located at 122 Fishpool Street, is a mid-18th century building that stands two storeys tall and features five windows. It is constructed of dark red brick with lighter red brick dressings and has a tiled roof with a moderate pitch, set behind a parapet. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are topped with gauged flat brick arches in near-flush frames. On the east side, there are Venetian windows on both floors. The doorcase is adorned with triglyphs and paterae that alternate in the frieze beneath a broken-back cornice and pediment, with the cornice supported by console brackets over panelled pilasters. The door itself has six panels, with the top four being fielded. At the rear, there is an extension featuring a modillioned cornice. Additionally, there is a garden gate with a cast iron overthrow attached to the right-hand corner. Bank House is part of a group that includes Nos 122, 124 and Nos 128 to 132 (even).
