Description
Pyke House, located at 124 Fishpool Street, is a building from the late 18th century. It is two storeys high and features two windows, although the left-hand first-floor window is blocked. The structure is made of red brick and has a brick eaves cornice. The roof is moderately pitched and covered with tiles. Both windows are three-light sashes with glazing bars; the ground floor window is set beneath a gauged, segmental brick arch. There is a rendered plinth, and three steps lead up to a recessed door that has a plain reveal, a cornice head, and a patterned fanlight. The doorcase is adorned with a dentilled cornice hood supported by curved consoles over panelled pilasters. Pyke House is part of a group with Nos 122, 124, and Nos 128 to 132 (even).
