Description
This is a timber-framed barn located at Maynes Farm, 50 metres west of the new farmhouse, dating from the late 17th century. The barn features weatherboarding and has a red brick base with a chamfered plinth. It is topped with a plain tile roof and consists of three bays that are well preserved. The roof is a double purlin design, with the upper purlins supported by collar braces attached to queen posts, and includes wind braces and a continuous rail. The east side of the barn has a central gabled projection, which is flanked on either side by contemporary lean-to ranges that have 17th-century red brick walls and 19th-century slate roofs.
