Description

No 17 is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier, originally built with a timber frame. In the 18th century, it was cased in red brick, which is now painted, although the chequered floor band and the segmental window heads on the ground floor remain visible. The house has a gabled cross wing on the right, creating an L-shaped plan, and features a plain tile roof. It stands two storeys tall, with the back range containing three sash windows with 5/10 panes. There is a replacement door located on the left side of the centre. The wing is likely an addition from the 17th century, featuring one casement window on the gable end and a sash window on the side.
