Description

Hogsland is a house dating from the 16th century, originally a gable-end structure that was moved from St Ippollitts in 1928 and extended to form an L shape, with further extension in 1983 that matches the original style. The house features an exposed timber frame, with the earlier section comprising a close-studded two-bay range and an upper floor that jetties on curved braces. Tension braces are present on both the front and side elevations. The west side has two first-floor three-light mullioned oak casements flanking a large mid-17th century red-brick chimney stack. The extension includes four windows, with a red brick ground floor and a half-timber upper floor, and 20th-century leaded casements throughout.
