Description
The Three Horseshoes Public House is a building that was originally constructed as a semi-detached pair of cottages in the early to mid 18th century. It features extensive single-storey additions made around 1970. The exterior is made of painted brick and has a plain tile roof with gable ends that include internal chimney stacks. A moulded brick eaves cornice adds to its architectural detail. The building stands two storeys high with attics and has three 20th-century casement windows on the first floor, set in original 18th-century pegged wood frames. These windows are arranged in a pattern of three, two, and three lights, with the central window having a partition wall to its mullion. Inside, there are large inglenook fireplaces at each end, both featuring original curved staircases on their rear sides. Additionally, there is a catslide roof projection at the rear.
