Description

Paynes Farmhouse is probably an 18th-century farmhouse that was altered and refenestrated in the early 20th century. It has a roughly L-shaped plan and a two-storey arrangement. The fenestration is 1:2. The roof is modern, tiled, with an old red brick wall stack located on the west side of one wing. The exterior walls are roughcast and have an original coved eaves cornice. There is a cement-rendered plinth with tiled coping. The windows are modern casements, two and three lights in width, with glazing bars and tiled hood moulds. An architraved doorway leads to a modern door and porch.
