Description
Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, with alterations made in the 17th century. It features a timber frame and roughcast walls, topped with a machine tile roof. The building has two storeys, with the 16th-century part consisting of a one-window jettied cross wing on the right. The rest of the structure appears to be a 17th-century replacement or recasing, which includes four glazing bar casements and four gabled dormers. On the ground floor, there is a canted casement bay. The door near the wing has an early 19th-century frame, complete with a tiled gabled hood supported by large curved brackets. There is a replacement stack located near the center of the building. The wing features curved brackets supporting the jetty, and below it is a 19th-century casement bay. Additionally, there is a 20th-century rear extension.
