Description
The Laurels is a house located on Barley High Street, dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with a 20th-century extension. It has a timber frame that is roughcast and weatherboarded, topped with a steeply pitched, half hipped thatched roof. The building consists of two cells and is one storey high with an attic. The weatherboarded side facing the road features a ground floor 20th-century bow window and a first floor three-light small pane casement window, with exposed plates. The roughcast side has a three-light small pane casement window and an entrance in the 20th-century addition at the rear, which has a machine tiled roof. There is a central cross axial stack with a rebuilt cap and a casement window in the attic at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
