Description
Roly Poly Cottage is a house that was originally two dwellings, built in the 17th century and extended in the 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. The cottage features a timber frame that is rendered and weatherboarded, topped with a steeply pitched thatched roof. It consists of two cells, with an additional bay added to the left side. The building is one storey high and has a ridge stack located at the original left end, backing onto a through passage. There is a plinth and 20th-century flush frame casements. To the left, there is a weatherboarded kitchen addition with a half hipped end, and small casements are present at the rear. Inside, some of the framing is exposed, showcasing jowled posts and cambered tie beams.
