No. 27 Hitchin Street is a 17th-century house that has been altered over time. The ground floor is made of colour-washed brick, while the first floor is plaster-faced and oversails, featuring a pair of canted bay windows. The roof is old and tiled, with gables above the oriel bay windows. There is a carriageway on the right side of the building. The house has casement windows, with two on the ground floor and four on the first floor, some of which have lattice designs.
