Description
Nos 8 to 10 on Tilehouse Street are a 17th century L-shaped building that stands two storeys tall. The exterior is faced with rough plaster and features a cross-gabled design at the eastern end. The steep tiled roof has one section that extends over a plaster cove, and there are tall chimney stacks that have been restored. The building has five windows, including a canted three-light leaded casement on the ground floor of the cross-gable, while the other windows are mostly modern glazed casements. The doorways are adorned with cut bracketed doorhoods. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 17, Nos 19 to 32, and Nos 35 to 40 on the same street.
