Description

A pair of semi-detached houses at 3 and 5 Norton Way North, Letchworth, built in 1906 by Allen Foxley. The houses are constructed with a rough cast finish over brickwork, featuring guttae to raised brick pilasters. They have a hipped roof covered in plain tiles, with rendered ridge and lateral stacks. The buildings are arranged in an H-plan.

The front facade has a six-window range, with the roof swept over a central lean-to porch that contains two panelled doors and a flat-roofed dormer window. The facade is flanked by hipped, two-storey end bays with one and two-light wood casements featuring glazing bars. The side and rear elevations have similar window arrangements.

Inside, the houses feature stick-baluster staircases, panelled doors, and beamed ceilings. The design reflects the early Garden City aesthetic.
