Description

A pair of semi-detached houses at East Holm, dating from 1905 to 1906 and designed by B Parker and R Unwin. The houses are constructed with roughcast over brick, and have a gabled plain tile roof with brick ridge stacks. The design is in an 'L' shape, with one and a half storeys and a six-window range. Windows are wood casements with glazing bars. A two-storey canted bay window is located at the angle where the two wings meet. The houses feature gabled projections with three-light windows, and round-arched plank doors set in continuous lean-to projections extending towards the centre. Three gabled two-light dormer windows are positioned above the two-light windows. The rear elevation mirrors this design with similar gabled dormers and fenestration. Internally, the houses have a simple design, with staircases rising between partition walls and plank doors.
