Description
This building is an outbuilding located about 10 metres northwest of Sandon Bury. It was originally built as stables, a coach-house, and a dwelling in the late 17th century, with alterations and extensions made in the 20th century. The structure is made of red brick, with some areas of weatherboarding, and features a tiled roof. It is L-shaped and has one storey. On the elevation facing the house, there are 20th-century doors and casement windows, along with a plinth and plat band. The right gable end includes a continuous plinth and plat band, a second plat band in the gable, and a coped parapet with kneelers. The rear elevation facing the churchyard is partly weatherboarded and has three small windows with segmental heads. There is a slightly taller range at right angles to the left, which is weatherboarded and slightly projects into the churchyard. The inner elevation features a door and a brick addition with a slate roof that has a lower ridge.
