Description
Nos 18 and 20 on Kneesworth Street are buildings dating from the 16th century or early 17th century. They feature colour washed rough plaster and a tiled roof with a coved cornice. A central, massive red brick chimneystack has been partly rebuilt. The buildings are two storeys high with attics and have two ground floor canted bay sash windows. There are also three lattice casement windows with wooden mullions and transoms, featuring pointed arched lights that oversail the first floor. The lower 19th-century north wing has an eaves cornice and a low pitched roof, with a colour washed brick ground floor that includes two sash windows set in reveals under cambered arches. Nos 14 to 22 (even) form a group with these buildings.
