Description

This is a well house, dating to circa 1815. It originally served as two staff houses for the nearby property at No. 16. The building is constructed of red brick with a pyramidal slate roof and a plastered eaves soffit. It is a square, two-storey block, two windows wide, with a large, rectangular central chimney stack and reserved-chamfered corners around the building. A side entrance on the north side is still in use, with a wooden porch. A southern entrance has been converted into a window. The east front is symmetrical and features a plat band and flat, red rubbed arches. It contains sash windows with 8/8 panes, which have been renewed. Original decorative iron railings are present on the first-floor windows.
