Description

Kimpton House is a house dating from the early 19th century, possibly a remodelling of an earlier structure. It is built of colour washed red brick and features a hipped slate roof with wide eaves. The front has four recessed sash windows, each with eight panes and segmental heads, with the lower openings slightly offset to the left of the upper ones. There is a half-glazed door set in a panelled reveal, surrounded by an architrave. A two-column Tuscan porch with a flat hood adds to the entrance. The east elevation includes a wide canted bay window, while the rear elevation features a door with a scrolled bracket hood.
