Description
The Piggery at Princess Helena College, located 240 meters southeast of the main entrance door at Temple Dinsley, is a small farm building likely constructed around 1908 by the architect Edwin Lutyens for H.G. Fenwick. This single-storey structure is built from red brick in Flemish bond and features a steep pyramidal roof covered with handmade red tiles. The building has a stable door positioned in the middle of the northwest side and half-round ridge tiles along the hips of the roof. There is a small window on the southeast side, although the lower half of this window is blocked. The eaves project about one foot in the middle of the northeast side. The Piggery serves as an important landscape feature, offering a view of the mansion from the park, and is included for its group value.
