Description
Wandon End House is an early 18th-century house that was renovated in the later 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, featuring lighter red dressings and rubbed brick flat arches above the first-floor windows. The house has a steep red tile roof and stands tall at two storeys with attics, facing east. It has a symmetrical front with four windows and a central recess on the first floor, three gabled dormer windows on the roof slope, and two wide windows on the ground floor. The entrance features a six-panel half-glazed door beneath a moulded flat hood supported by shaped brackets. There is an internal gable chimney on the right side and an external chimney on the left. The first-floor windows are cross windows with small panes and are recessed. The recess includes two lozenges made of black brick and a Sun fire insurance plaque numbered 266152. The house also has a plat-band and a moulded dentilled brick eaves cornice with end corbels. The ground floor features three-light transomed casements, while the dormers have two-light divided casements.
