Description
This barn, located about 10 meters north-northwest of Gannock Farm House, is likely from the 17th century. It features a timber frame set on a brick base and is weatherboarded, topped with a corrugated iron roof. The structure consists of two sections: a five-bay section and a three-bay section. The three-bay section has central double doors facing the house and a catslide roof over a lean-to addition at the rear. There is also a lean-to addition on the five-bay section, which has a central entrance. The barn includes inserted windows and has a flint outshut attached to the far end.
Inside, the three-bay section displays arched braces connecting jowled posts to cambered tie beams, with rebuilt roof trusses. The five-bay section features straight braces and queen struts that clasp the purlins, along with original studs in the walling.
