Description

The London Coal Duty Marker, located on the district boundary 50 meters south of Church Road in Potters Bar, dates from 1861. It was cast by H. Grissell at the Regents Canal Ironworks. This marker is a square cast iron pier with chamfered corners and a pyramid top, although it is partly buried. The necking of the marker features the City of London crest, and the front face bears the inscription '24 Vict'.
