Description

The garden wall to the north of Jenningsbury is an early 18th-century structure made of red brick, standing at an average height of 2 meters. The wall features an irregular pattern and part English bond, with early 20th-century brick-on-edge coping. It partially encloses the Jenningsbury site along the line of the inner bank of the moat and has a total length of approximately 150 meters with return ends. In the center of the north side, there is a low set arch, which may have originally served as a culvert or drain from the house. This wall is an important feature in the setting of Jenningsbury.
