Description
This early 18th-century garden screen and gate stands 40 metres west of Balls Park Mansion. The wrought-iron gate features scrollwork and an overthrow displaying the initials of Edward Harrison, who died in 1732. It is flanked by scrollwork posts and side screens resting on low brick walls with Portland stone copings. Tall red brick piers, also with moulded stone copings, blocking courses, and ball finials, mark the gate’s edges.
