Description
Old Woolpack House is an inn that has been converted into a house, dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. The building features a timber frame set on a painted brick plinth, with roughcast walls and a steep old red tile roof that is hipped, featuring a gablet at the northern end. This gablet extends down over a lean-to extension, which is weatherboarded on the north side but roughcast on the west. The house is two storeys tall and includes a cellar.
The west front, which faces the road, has three windows. The entrance door is located in the middle and is accessed by two steps, flanked by a pair of windows on the left and one window on the right on each floor. The windows are square flush box sash windows with three panes over three panes. The entrance features a panelled door within a plain surround. There is a large central chimney at the northern part of the building and a smaller internal gable chimney at the southern end. Additionally, there are cellar access doors located at the southern end of the front.
