Description
The outbuilding at Number 15, located 10 yards southwest of the house, dates from the 16th century but was largely reconstructed in the 19th century. It is a timber-framed and plastered structure with a steep old red tile roof. The eastern part has been rebuilt in red brick while maintaining the same roof pitch. The western gable is now exposed due to partial demolition and features a heavy timber framework with swept jowled posts, a cambered tie beam, and diminished principals of a clasped purlin roof supported by collar and queen struts. A portion of the plastered side wall remains, along with a 19th-century central stack. The eastern gable is made of 19th-century red brick and includes a bargeboard and finial. This brick section was formerly used as a Mission Hall. The building is a single storey with a door at the northeast and two large windows on the north side, featuring 6/6 paned sash windows that are recessed under segmental brick arches. It is unclear how much of the older fabric is included in the brick-built section. The outbuilding is listed for its group value.
