Description

The barn at Holbrook Farm, located on the roadside east of the house, dates from the early 19th century. It features a timber frame supported by a flint and brick sill, and is clad in dark weatherboarding beneath a steep red tile roof. This 12-bay double barn faces north and includes two gabled front porches, with double doors leading to the yard at the rear. The eastern porch is in use, while the western porch has been infilled with weatherboarding. Inside, the barn has king-post roof trusses supporting a side-purlin roof. This structure is an important feature of the landscape.
