Description

Solomans Pightle is a late 17th or early 18th century house, originally built as a single dwelling, and later divided into three separate houses within a single block. The building is timber-framed with plaster pargetting and has steep roofs covered in old red tiles. A catslide roof extends over the rear outshut at numbers 28 and 30, while the rear slope at number 32 is heightened and covered in slates. Two red brick chimneys are visible; the one at number 30 is the older.

The building originally comprised three rooms arranged in a row, facing south, with a central lobby entry to number 30, positioned centrally behind a chimney. There are six windows along the front facade. The windows are flush casements, containing small panes of glass, with some being two-light and others three-light. A weatherboarded lean-to porch fronts number 30, and a boarded door leads to number 32, which is linked to a single-storey building to the front. The rear of number 32 was altered in the 19th century.
