Description
Bridge Cottage is a cottage dating from the 16th century or earlier. It is timber framed, plastered, and partially weatherboarded, with a thatched roof featuring semicircular work over the outshuts at either end. The cottage has one storey and attics, with early metal casement windows and a moulded and decorated front entrance door frame. There are three dormers on the southern elevation and a modern single storey entrance lobby. The interior has been lightly restored, showcasing chamfered and stopped main beams and joists in the area that likely served as a former hall. There is also fragmentary evidence of the original crown post and collar roof.
