Description
The pump at Bromley Hall, located 5 metres southeast of Bromley Lodge, is a 19th-century structure made by 'J Warner and Sons Ltd London'. This Victorian hand-pump stands about one and a half metres tall and features two parallel openwork iron trestles that support the mechanism above them. It has a large one-metre diameter iron spoked flywheel and a sinuous cranked handle on the south face. The pump includes an eccentric connecting rod with bearings in each trestle, and a pump rod that descends to a parallel motion pivoted near the base.
