Description

Farm buildings dating from the 18th and early 19th centuries form a picturesque courtyard group beside the road and to the east of the farmhouse. The north range features two 3-bay barns with steeply pitched roofs now covered in slate. The west barn has a projecting central south porch built on a high brick sill with a small winnowing door. These barns are 18th-century structures that were re-roofed in the early 19th century. The east range includes a steep red-tiled stable to the north and a higher two-bay early 19th-century building to the south of it with a low-pitched, slate-roofed outshut. A three-bay early 19th-century implement shed is located at the northeast corner of the east barn, featuring curved braces to the open arcade on the west side. The south range, backing onto the road, consists of a five-bay early 19th-century cattle shelter with a steeper slate roof and a loose box at the west end. The farm buildings combine to form a picturesque group with the farmhouse.
