Description
Jeffs is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier. It has a timber frame and is weatherboarded on the western ends of its cross-wings, while the rest of the house is plastered with renewed panelled pargetting. The roof is covered with old red tiles. This two-storey house is shaped like an "H" and features two cross-wings that are subdivided. The long central section has lower eaves and a large external lateral chimney located in the middle of the western side, along with two higher two-storey cross-wings. There is an inserted floor in the center of the house. The northern cross-wing has a central chimney at the junction with the central section, and the southern cross-wing has a chimney at its ridge. The southern wall features a three-light wooden casement window on each floor, along with fan pargetting in panels. The southern cross-wing projects to the east, while the northern cross-wing has a hipped roof that slopes onto the rear of the central range. The eastern front has modern panelled pargetting and a door leading into the northern cross-wing.
