Description

Little Hormead Bury is a manor house that dates from the 17th century or earlier. It features a timber frame that has been cased in painted white gault brick, with an early 19th-century brick porch. The house has a steep old red tile roof and is designed in an H-plan, facing north with gabled wings on both the right and left sides. There is a large internal chimney located at the junction with the left-hand wing. The windows are sash style with 2/2 panes and flat gauged arches, and there is a small central gable. The right-hand wing has a side-purlin roof, while the left-hand wing is lower in height.
