Description

Bakers is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier. It features a timber frame set on a black stucco base, with roughcast walls and a dark weatherboard apron. The house has a steep thatched roof and is 1½ storeys tall, designed in a three-cell layout with an internal chimney and a lobby entry plan. It faces south and includes a glazed lean-to at the west end with a pantiled roof. There are three 3-light flush casement windows and two swept dormer windows on the roof slope. The roof is supported by side purlins, and there is a red brick chimney located a third of the way from the east. A thatched lean-to porch leads to the door next to the chimney.
