Description

The walls enclosing the forecourt, frontage, and north walled garden at Manor Farm date to circa 1700. They are constructed of red brick with a decorative pattern of black headers. The retaining wall runs along the eastern edge of the property, bordering the highway, and extends westward to enclose the farmyard, the house forecourt (with a small return wall running northwards to the house), and a north walled garden situated at a lower level than the forecourt. Original roll-topped coping bricks remain on the forecourt walls. The walls are punctuated by pilaster buttresses at regular intervals.
