Description

St Andrew's Cottage is a building that combines two houses, with the southern section dating from the 16th century and the northern section from the late 17th century. The structure features a plastered timber frame and old tile roofs. The larger northern block is two storeys tall and has a symmetrical design, with moulded wooden eaves. It includes three windows, each with three-light leaded casements set in pegged oak frames, which retain horizontal bars but have later diamond leading. There is a bracketed door hood and a cellar beneath the northern end. The smaller southern block is a single storey with two gabled attic dormers and features 19th-century, ground-floor, two-light leaded casements. An external Tudor-style red brick chimneystack is located on the southern side.
