Description
The Dovecote is a building that has been converted into a house. It dates back to the early 17th century and features a timber frame with brick infilling. Originally serving as a dovecote for the Old Rectory, it has a square shape topped with a pyramid roof covered in part fish scale, old tiles. The building has leaded casements with moulded frames on all sides. On the south side, there is a two-storey, projecting square window bay, likely added in the early 20th century, which includes some original metal casements with six-light windows and two-light windows on the sides. There is also a lean-to addition from the 18th or 19th century on the west side, which has a slate roof. A wrought iron weathervane is mounted on a square wooden pedestal with arcading.
