Description

A row of houses, now comprising two separate properties at 50 and 52 High Street, Much Hadham, is believed to date back to the 16th century, although the exterior has been modernised. Originally, the range may have consisted of three or four houses. The building is timber-framed, with a ground floor that mimics timber framing and a weatherboarded first floor. It has a slate mansard roof with attics and casement windows. Inside, substantial exposed timber-frame structures remain, along with two large brick chimney stacks, one located to the north and one to the south.
