Description
The South Stable at Manor Farm, located 15 meters to the northwest of the house, is a 16th-century stable. It features a timber frame resting on a brick and flint sill, with weatherboarding and a steeply pitched roof that is now covered in corrugated iron. This single-storey building has three bays and faces east, backing onto the road. A single stable door is centrally located on the east side. The northern bay was originally partitioned, while the southern bay now contains a boarded threshing floor. The structure includes heavy jowled posts with substantial curved braces supporting cambered tie-beams. The roof is constructed with clasped purlins, wind bracing, and queen-strut collar trusses.
