Description
20 and 20A St Andrew Street is a house that has been converted into a shop with offices above. It dates from the 19th century, with a 20th-century shopfront and some alterations. The building is timber-framed and covered in stucco, topped with a Welsh slated roof that features a bracketed eaves cornice.
The exterior has two storeys, with a carriageway leading to a rear yard on the right side. The first floor includes four flush-set plate-glazed sash windows, which are framed by rusticated quoin surrounds, with quoins at the ends of the facade. The ground floor features a 20th-century shopfront, which retains a remnant of a late 19th-century fascia and a moulded console on the left. At the rear, there is a timber-framed and weatherboarded outshoot, surrounded by 20th-century single-storey outbuildings.
The building is part of a significant group with Nos 22 and 24 nearby. The interior has not been inspected.
