Description
26 St Andrew Street is a house that has been converted into offices. It dates from the 17th century, with a front block added in the 19th century. The building features a timber frame that is stuccoed, with a brown stock brick wall on the west side and a two-storey rear outshoot that is weatherboarded and plastered. The front roof is covered with Welsh slate, while the outshoot has an old tiled roof and there are brown brick chimneystacks.
The exterior is two storeys high, with the front elevation displaying two flush-set 12-pane sash windows on both the first and ground floors. The windows have an architrave surround, with the ground floor windows being slightly squatter in proportion. The main entrance is now accessed through a door in the twitchell alongside the ground floor of the adjoining No. 24. The interior has not been inspected.
